A home without a book is like a brain with no idea. It may have a radio and thus be able to hear. A television and thus be able to see. An outhouse? A sense of smell… of course! Kitchen? Taste!
But… without books it has no ability to imagine, therefore, it is unable to think, or even speak. Such a home could be full of people… occupants, tenants, friends, neighbors invited over, and guests, but, with no books, it has no voice… no memory… no story.
My house is full of books, memories, things imagined, and stories told…
and…
the stories that have yet to be told.
